Franciscan convent founded in 1612 by king Felipe IV of Spain, though not very thrilling on the outside, its church contains splendid paintings by Baroque Spanish and Italian painters and a wonderful sculpture by the most gifted Baroque sculptor Gregorio Fernández, an eerie lying Christ. Also a school and seminar, is definitely worth a visit for the splendid views from the top of the hill where it is placed.
